Before work is done:
Please make sure all furniture is removed from the rooms we will be working in. You also need to remove all tack strip, nails, etc. prior to our arrival.
During a job:
Coat #1 - Several hours after the first coat is applied you may walk on the floor with socks only if needed.
Coat #2 - Do not walk on the floor until 24 hours after the first coat is applied. Do not put anything on the floor including newspaper or rugs for 72 hours. You may move furniture back into the room 72 hours after the final coat is applied.
Caring for your wood floors:
DO NOT use cleaners such as Murphy's Oil Soap on your new floors. These products will build up and dull the look of the finish.
DO clean with cleaning kits (mop and cleaner) available from Knieper Wood Floors OR use 1 gallon of water to 1 Tablespoon of white vinegar.
We also recommend attaching pads to the feet of chairs and table legs to prevent scratching.
